A 2-0 result in the City game meant that Liverpool held their 11 point lead at the top of the table. Goals from Salah and Dominik Szoboszlai lead Liverpool through to their successful win.

Even Manchester City’s success in recent years has been lessened as they currently sit 4th in the table.
Teams like Aston Villa are doing well enough to entertain hopes at a shot at the top four in the Premier League. Their chances of threatening for a title are not for some time and Liverpool can feel comfortable with their season so far.
