Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Liverpool remain interested in Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola this summer, with the French international reportedly valued at around £100 million.

Barcola is one of several names on Liverpool's shortlist, alongside Yan Diomande and Maghnes Akliouche, as the Reds prepare for life after Mohamed Salah on the right wing.

After a relatively quiet period regarding both Liverpool's transfer business and Andoni Iraola's new-look squad, the Italian transfer expert responded to a Liverpool fan on X, reaffirming that Barcola remains a "real target."

In response to a post from The Anfield Talk urging Fabrizio Romano to "announce something," a Liverpool supporter accused the Italian journalist of using the club to generate clicks and engagement rather than reporting genuine transfer news.

Romano responded with the ultimate mic-drop moment, listing several occasions on which he had broken major Liverpool transfer stories before anyone else.

"I told you Slot out when people said he was staying. I told you Munoz done when there were zero links. I’m telling you to wait because Barcola is a real target, then it’s not me paying or reaching agreements. But they want him."

Liverpool supporters now wait with bated breath to discover who will become the club's new winger, someone capable of fitting the new style and filling the enormous void left by the Egyptian King.

The Barcola interest

Liverpool are not the only club interested in Bradley Barcola. Arsenal are also believed to be leading the race for the Paris Saint-Germain winger after missing out on Morgan Rogers, while the Gunners are reportedly unlikely to convince Yan Diomande to choose a move to north London over France.

The Reds are reportedly his preferred choice as the French star is buoyed by the project, especially the more attack-minded approach under Andoni Iraola, proving to be attractive to the ambitious 23-year-old.

Although PSG have publicly insisted they want to keep Barcola for the foreseeable future, their stance could depend on their own transfer business. The French champions already possess an abundance of talent in the wide areas, with Désiré Doué, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Ibrahim Mbaye and Ousmane Dembélé all competing alongside Barcola for places.

Should Barcola complete a move to the Premier League, the club that misses out could quickly miss out on their secondary target. PSG are expected to pursue either Diomande or Maghnes Akliouche, potentially even both, as they look to reinforce their attacking options if Barcola departs.
