His time at Anfield has been marred by injuries and inconsistent game time, but after the exhilarating game-winning goal against Bournemouth, a new chapter looks set to be written for both player and club.
New Role
The football world was rocked over the summer with the untimely passing of beloved forward Diogo Jota, the footballing impact has been at the back of everyone’s mind and so it should be.
Though, Chiesa could be the helping hand that the team needs to take on a similar role to what Diogo masterfully fulfilled, versatile starter and Impact sub.
Federico’s ability to play on both wings is massive for such a light attacking force at the moment, but similar to Diogo, his finishing is some of the best at the club, all different types of goalscoring threat.

A player of this mould is indispensable for teams pushing for trophies every season and wins every week.
We know that he has the ability, from Euro 2021 and some of the bright flashes he showed us in the few opportunities he got last season, it is just whether he can transfer this into a consistent feature.
Bond with the Fans
Chiesa’s game is built on explosive sprints, relentless pressing and emotions. Liverpool fans feed off that raw energy, and in turn, their response can fuel him further.

This creates a cycle: the harder he fights, the louder the Kop roars, and the louder the Kop roars, the harder he fights.
Chiesa’s resilience during the multiple setbacks has also been a huge help in creating the relationship he currently has with the fans.
His Injuries and dips in form have affected him in the past, but, at Liverpool, the strong bond with the fans has meant that he has rarely been isolated during those tough periods. Instead, he’s had the sense that the supporters are waiting for his comeback.
That emotional safety net can help him recover quicker, both mentally and physically.
All in all ,Fede has a bigger role to play this season, the determining factor will be if he has the willpower to forge himself a successful time at Liverpool.
