Liverpool return to Premier League action under the Friday night lights this weekend as Andoni Iraola side make the trip to take on newly-promoted Ipswich Town at Portman Road.
It has been a frustrating and sluggish start to the campaign for the Reds, who arrive at this fixture still searching for their first win of the season after having to settle for back-to-back 2-2 draws against Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest in their opening outings.
Andoni Iraola's men look dangerous enough going forward, and the arrival of Bradley Barcola will only help that, but there have clearly been issues defensively that are going to have to be addressed.
Ipswich look lively enough going forward, and they kicked off their campaign with a win over Sunderland. But Gary O'Neil's side also took a bruising 5-2 thrashing away at Manchester United last weekend, showing they've got some real defensive frailties to sort out.
Ahead of Friday night's game, we have rounded up all the latest injury news surrounding both teams.
Jaden Philogene - Out
Philogene is expected to be out for another week as he battles his way back from an ankle issue.
Jack Taylor - Out
Taylor is struggling with a knee injury and is expected to be out for another week.
Azor Matusiwa - Out
It's the same story for Matusiwa, who is not quite ready to return from his thigh issue.
Florentino Luis - Doubt
Gary O'Neill said last week: "We're hoping Florentino will be back around it. He's still got a bit more work to do, but he's improving well." Luis has a chance of returning here.
Emersonn - Doubt
O'Neill said after Emersonn picked up an injury last weekend: "We’re hopeful it’s not serious. It was like a landing and a jarring of it, so it was a bit too painful for him to carry on. That was a blow, of course. But we’re hopeful that it’s not going to be anything too serious. I’m hoping that when we get in tomorrow and when he’s checked, he’s feeling a bit better."
Conor Bradley - Out
Bradley suffered an ACL rupture last season and will be out until the new year.
Hugo Ekitike - Out
Ekitike is out until next month as he continues his recovery from surgery. Iraola will be looking forward to getting Ekitike back, having relied on younger players so far this season.
Joe Gomez - Out
Gomez has been dealing with a muscular injury since the summer and will be out for another week or two.
Federico Chiesa - Doubt
The Italian winger has been dealing with a back injury since the latter stages of pre-season. He is unlikely to be available here, but there is an outside chance he could return.
Giovanni Leoni - Out
Leoni is a long-term absentee after his ACL rupture last season. It's unclear when he will return at this stage.
