Amid ongoing transfer talks between Liverpool and Crystal Palace, Ismaila Sarr’s agent has released a statement that has raised doubt over the winger’s future at Selhurst Park.
In a cryptic post made on Instagram, agent Diomansy Kamara, has stirred the pot concerning the future of the Senegalese star, stating that “respect cannot be one-sided.”
The full post reads: “The end of the English Mercato puts several Senegalese players at the forefront of the stage, from Jackson to Sarr. But behind the transfers, numbers and negotiations, there are first and foremost men, careers and years of work.
“Our approach has never been to create conflicts. It simply consists of ensuring that the African player is considered, respected and valued at the height of what he brings.
“Respect cannot be one-sided. Those who have given their energy, talent and heart for a club or project deserve, at the right time, to receive the same consideration.
“Loyalty is earned. The appreciation is shared. And respect should work both ways.”

This is not the first time this summer that Kamara has hinted at a move on social media. Sarr has also drawn interest from Turkish side Galatasaray earlier in the window, and Crystal Palace are said to have rejected two separate bids for the player.
Earlier this week, Kamara wrote on Instagram, “One who is patient attains his desire”, followed up by another post stating to simply “Trust the process…”, accompanied by photos of both Sarr and national team strike partner Nicolas Jackson, who is also expecting a move this summer.
Whether it comes from Sarr or solely his agent, there is clearly a push from the Senegal international’s camp to attempt to force a move away from Crystal Palace, especially while the winger is at the peak of his powers.
From Liverpool’s perspective, the more Sarr and his agent agitate and push for a move, the better. Especially after negotiations for Brighton’s Yankuba Minteh stalled at the £80 million asking price from the Seagulls.
The Reds are desperate to make reinforcements to their forward line following the long-term injury to Hugo Ekitike and the departure of Mohamed Salah, but with three years remaining on Sarr’s contract, the Eagles maintain a strong negotiating position.
David Ornstein from The Athletic reported that the two clubs underwent exploratory talks but no bid was tabled by the Reds. It is said that it will take an eye-watering offer for the Eagles to consider letting go of their star man.
