Liverpool travel to Goodison Park for the final time as Everton host the Merseyside Derby under the lights in midweek.
The Reds know how important this rescheduled match is as they look to move further clear at the top of the Premier League.
With that in mind, let's take a look at some of the main players to watch from both sides once the action kicks off on Wednesday.
Everton
Jordan Pickford
Jordan Pickford rarely stays out of the spotlight in any fixture, not least the Merseyside Derby. The England shot stopper has two clean sheets in his last three games.

His derby repertoire includes his horror challenge on Virgil van Dijk, being mocked for timewasting by Alisson, being caught wildly out of position for a Salah tap in and of course, dropping the ball onto Divock Origi's head at Anfield.
Iliman Ndiaye
Iliman Ndiaye took a few months to truly get his Everton career off and running but comfortably looks their most potent threat of late.
The Senegalese trickster has scored in four of his last six matches and in all four games saw his side take the three points. He's a player that could pose some problems if he's at top level.
His goal against Tottenham was particulary special as he danced past several challenges to fire high into the roof of the net.
James Garner
James Garner is back in the Everton fold after missing several months with injury towards the end of 2024.
The midfielder looks a firm part of David Moyes plans as he's featured in all three games since returning.
The Englishman provided a peach of a pass for Everton's third against Leicester and is growing in fitness and confidence with every minute he plays. He will be essential if the Toffees want to compete with the machine that is the Liverpool engine room.
Liverpool
Mohamed Salah
Who else? Marvelous Mo Salah is continuing to fire Liverpool to new heights in his incredibly impressive season.

The Egyptian has scored in each of his last four starts, including that crucial brace away to Bournemouth.
The winger has scored seven times in this fixture and an astonishing twenty-one times in the League overall this season. He very well might be called upon again to step up in a big game for Arne Slot.
Cody Gakpo
Cody Gakpo has stepped into a highly competitive left wing position and has gone from competing for minutes to one of the first names on the teamsheet.
The Dutchman has four goals in his last four matches including the crucial opener last week against Spurs in the League Cup semifinal. .
The Dutch forward has already matched his league tally for the whole of last season and is well on his way to double figures and beyond. A big goal in this fixture could be a springboard to a very prolific spring stretch.
Trent Alexander-Arnold
A man who is consistently in the headlines this season both on and off the pitch, Trent Alexander-Arnold is back in contention and looks set to feature in this huge clash.
The talismanic defender has showed some distraction as his future remains up in the air but he does have an assist in two of his last three appearances and was excellent in the win at Bournemouth just under two weeks ago.
Even if he comes on as a sub, he should still have some kind of impact if he is truly locked in and fit.
