In what will likely be a huge week for all affiliated with Liverpool. The title looking like it will be confirmed on Sunday against Spurs, let’s see what other news is making headlines for LFC.
Trent’s Contract Saga:

After his goal and passionate celebration at the weekend, many fans speculated that something may have changed in the situation.
Ian Doyle from the Liverpool Echo has come out and added fuel to this newly burning fire, “Liverpool have not given up any hope of him penning a new deal at Anfield”.
After many reports from Fabrizio Romano, who consistently made it clear that Real Madrid have been in constant contact with Trent for over a year, fans seemed to have turned on him, but maybe this saga still has some twists and turns yet to come.
Duel for Dean Huijsen’s signature:
The Spanish defender has had a superb year at Bournemouth, consistently putting in top class performances, becoming a full Spain international and being one of Europe’s most coveted youngsters.
The centre back has been on the radar for many teams for the past few years, but with Premier League experience he now looks like a top candidate, especially for Liverpool.

Liverpool have been linked with the Spaniard for a while now but with the summer window etching closer, journalists are now finding out the gist of what may happen.
Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool look like early favourites according to Alex Crook from TalkSport, with Matt Law from the Daily Telegraph, giving Chelsea the upper hand in the race.
One thing us fans can investigate is the representatives of players and Dean Huijsen’s team may give us a clue into where he could end up.
Ali Barat is a name Liverpool fans may hear quite a bit over the coming months, he is Huijsen’s agent and he has a strong relationship with Chelsea co-owner Behdad Eghbali, who seems to be in charge of the London club.
Barat represents current Chelsea players, Nicolas Jackson and David Datro Fofana, as well as former player Ian Maatsen.
All of this could help Chelsea but at the end of the day it will likely be the player’s choice, and you would think the champions of England would be a better choice than whatever is going on at Chelsea at the moment.
Battle for Kerkez
Another Bournemouth player strongly linked to Liverpool this summer, Milos Kerkez has been a clear target for Liverpool for some time now, with talks of a possible move for him in January never materializing.

Looking ahead to the summer, with the season Kerkez is having, there is obviously going to be a big battle for the Left-back’s signature as Sky Sports have listed the familiar duo of Man City and Real Madrid as potential competitors.
The Hungarian international is expected to make his decision at the end of this season.
Left-back is a “priority” this summer according to Lyall Thomas from Sky Sports and Kerkez seems to be the top target.
Senior correspondent at GiveMeSport, Ben Jacobs, has reported that Liverpool are the front runners in the race, with Man City appreciating Kerkez but no deal is likely for them.
