Andoni Iraola's search for a first win at Liverpool win continues. So far this season, the Reds have drawn 2-2 with both Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest, hoping it is third time lucky against Ipswich Town on Friday night.

Ahead of this key Premier League clash for both at Portman Road, check out the lineup Iraola has selected.

Liverpool's confirmed lineup vs Ipswich Town

  • Alisson.
  • Ronald Araújo, Jérémy Jacquet, Virgil van Dijk & Miloš Kerkez.
  • Dominik Szoboszlai, Alexis Mac Allister & Florian Wirtz.
  • Cody Gakpo, Alexander Isak & Víctor Muñoz.
  • Substitutes: Giorgi Mamardashvili, Jeremie Frimpong, Kostas Tsimikas, Wataru Endō, Ryan Gravenberch, Trey Nyoni, Lewis Koumas, Lewis Koumas & Bradley Barcola.

All the talk ahead of this game was around Bradley Barcola's involvement, having arrived from Paris Saint-Germain for £123 million on Monday. Andoni Iraola confirmed that the Frenchman will "definitely be available", but will begin the evening on the bench, having not seen action since the World Cup third-place play-off on 18 July.

In terms of the starting lineup, Iraola makes just one change. This comes at right-back, where Ronald Araújo starts for the first time, displacing Jeremie Frimpong who, to put it politely, had not impressed across the first two matches of the season. Alexis Mac Allister once again gets the nod over Ryan Gravenberch at the base of midfield, after the Dutchman's difficult afternoon on Tyneside.

  • Dara O'Shea, Issa Diop, Jacob Greaves & Leif Davis.

  • Abdul Fatawu, Julio Enciso & Daizen Maeda.
  • Emersonn.

Gary O'Neil has named identical lineups for Ipswich Town's first two Premier League matches of the campaign, a win over Sunderland and a defeat at Old Trafford last Sunday. He makes just one change here.

World Cup winning midfielder Exequiel Palacios came off the bench for his debut against Manchester United last time out, and starts this time, displacing Marcelino Núñez at the base of midfield. Meanwhile, new striker Zian Flemming, who arrived from Burnley on deadline day, is on the bench and hoping for his own debut here.
