With just two weeks to go until the transfer window closes, Liverpool are certainly seeking to strengthen their attack.
The Reds are currently targeting a double swoop with Paris Saint-Germain to sign Bradley Barcola and Ibrahim Mbaye, the pair likely to cost at least £150 million combined. Meanwhile, have they identified a rather more bargain right-winger option?
As reported by Danish outlet Campo, several Premier League clubs are "interested" in signing Darío Osorio from Midtjylland, namely Bournemouth, Everton, Arsenal and of course Liverpool. They claim that the Reds "even sent a bid" of around 75 million kroner, just under £6 million, which was instantaneously rejected by the Wolves, falling way short of their valuation.
Osorio is under contract until 2030, meaning Midtjylland are not under pressure to sell. If they do, they're looking to smash their transfer record, currently held by Alexander Sørloth when he joined Crystal Palace for £9 million.

So, who is Osorio, and why are so many clubs chasing him? He is a 22 year old Chilean international, starting his career at Universidad de Chile. After scoring 11 goals in 51 appearances for los Azules, he moved to Denmark three summers ago, signing for FC Midtjylland.
With the Wolves, the winger won the Superligaen title in his first season as well as last year's DBU Pokalen, starting the final victory over København. In total, Osorio has played 117 times for Midtjylland, scoring 23 goals and accumulating 18 assists, catching the eye in European competition.
In UEFA tournaments, he has six goals and four assists to his name, netting against Santa Coloma, Ludogorets, Hoffenheim, Real Sociedad, KuPS and Hibernian. Many of these strikes have been absolutely spectacular, as was his assist for Valdemar Byskov to help his side beat Ange Postecoglou's Nottingham Forest at the City Ground last October.
Right now, after being ousted by Beşiktaş in the Europa League, Mike Tullberg's team are trying to get into the Conference League. They swatted aside Bohemians, but will now face HNK Rijeka in the play-off round, a tricky tie, so certainly will not want to sell their star attacker before that tie has concluded.

At international level meantime, Chile are at something of a low ebb, currently 49th in the FIFA World Rankings, failing to qualify for three World Cups in a row. They won only two of 18 qualifiers for this summer's edition. Thus, Osorio is front and centre of their next generation, scoring three times for la Roja to date; he's netted against France at Stade Vélodrome, Peru in Sochi and DR Congo in Orléans.
Were he to swap Herning for Anfield, he'd become only the second Chilean to play for Liverpool in a senior match, after Mark González. Osorio is clearly very talented, and a right-footed left-winger is what the Reds need, but whether or not he is good enough to make such an enormous jump remains to be seen.
