Liverpool have now replaced Ibrahima Konate by signing Jeremy Jacquet from Rennes. Now the Reds need to find a replacement for Mohamed Salah by signing a new winger.

The new forward could be Bradley Barcola of Paris Saint-Germain. He would be a statement signing from the back-to-back Champions League winners. In the recent Champions League final, Barcola was reduced to a substitute appearance in the second half.

Luis Enrique's favored wingers at PSG are Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Désiré Doué. Therefore, if Barcola wants to be the main man at a club, then he will need to leave. Salah's boots are big ones to fill, but Barcola has the potential to live up to the Egyptian.

Barcola is only 23 and can play on either wing as well as up front. This would be very useful to Andoni Iraola at Liverpool. Hugo Ekitike is currently injured, and Alexander Isak is struggling to live up to the £125 million price tag. Therefore, Barcola may be required to do a job up front for the Reds.

Liverpool need a replacement for Mohamed Salah

Iraola got the Liverpool job after Arne Slot failed to retain the Premier League title. There was a lot of pressure on Slot to deliver another league win with the club spending big on the likes of Isak and Florian Wirtz.

Signing Barcola would put more pressure on Iraola. The new Liverpool boss did a very good job at AFC Bournemouth. He guided them to a sixth-placed finish in the Premier League, which qualified them for the Europa League. However, managing Liverpool will be a completely different kettle of fish.

Barcola is currently starring for France at the World Cup, where he already has two goals and one assist in four games. In addition to the two Champions League titles, he has won Ligue 1 three times. Liverpool want to get back to winning the Premier League. However, the Reds face far greater competition in England than PSG do in France.

PSG are also looking to sign Yan Diomande from RB Leipzig. Diomande has also been linked with Liverpool, but it is believed that he favors a move to PSG over Liverpool. Signing Diomande from Leipzig would push Barcola further down the pecking order at the club.

Barcola has not just been linked with Liverpool this summer. There is also reported interest from Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Arsenal. The Gunners may step up their interest in Barcola if they are priced out of a deal for Aston Villa's Morgan Rogers.
