Sunday saw Liverpool put a bow on what has been an extremely difficult and disappointing 2025/26 campaign across the board.

The result at Anfield, an anticlimactic 1-1 draw with Brentford, was a perfect encapsulation of what kind of season this has been for the Reds.

They started the match strong, but could not find their way through until one final piece of Mohamed Salah magic created their only goal of the afternoon. A scrappy goal from the visitors would arrive soon after, as the same inconsistencies we've seen for months came to the fore one last time.

So, how did Liverpool players rate in the farewell match for Salah and Andy Robertson?

Alisson Becker - 7/10 - Made his return from injury and looked pretty sharp with a few good stops from tight angles. I don't really blame him for the Brentford goal. Hopefully this is not the last time we see him play for Liverpool.

Curtis Jones - 7.5/10 - Started at right-back and was solid in the role as he usually is. Made some tidy tackles and dribbles to get out of danger. Placed himself perfectly to get his goal following the Salah magic. His versatility has always been an asset.

Ibrahima Konate - 6/10 - If this was potentially the Frenchman's final outing for the Reds, it was a very average showing. He struggled at times with the Brentford attack, and his attacking heading was not ideal. Snuffed out a few half-chances throughout. Tough season for him.

Virgil van Dijk - 6.5/10 - It was not a banner day for the Dutchman, but he lead as much as he could as ever. Not a lot of glaring issues, but did not do anything sensational either. A tame end to his campaign.

Andy Robertson - 7/10 - On his final Liverpool outing, Robbo was rock solid. Put in several dangerous crosses and was in the thick of a lot of the action down the left. Defended solidly as well. Legend.

Alexis Mac Allister - 6.5/10 - A better showing from what we have seen in recent times. He snapped into tackles and pressed well at different times. Lacked that final pass though, which has been an issue all season long.

Ryan Gravenberch - 7/10 - This looked more like the Gravenberch we saw last season. He was carrying the ball into the final third much more and was winning free kicks. Tried to keep the ball moving forward whenever he could while also cutting out any counter chances.

Dominik Szoboszlai - 6/10 - Was invisible for a lot of the match outside of some side-to-side passing and an occasional corner. Looked lost as the whole side faded at the end.

Rio Ngumoha - 6.5/10 - Alongside Salah, Rio was the one constantly trying to put Brentford on the defensive and he came so close with a wonderful curled effort. He's going to be big-time next season.

Cody Gakpo - 5/10 - It was like he was not on the pitch at times. No serious contribution to anything in this one and he once again could not put himself in dangerous spots. Through the middle is an awful role for him.

Mohamed Salah - 8/10 - He came out on a mission in this one and looked like his old and joyous self. His beautiful free kick was denied only by the post, but he was a threat all day long. Superb outside the foot pass to get an assist in his finale. Icon.

SUBS

Florian Wirtz - 6/10 - Tried to make some things happen in his quarter of an hour of work, but was denied by a fine Kelleher save late on. He must be better next term.

Jeremie Frimpong - 5/10 - Came on for Salah and did all of nothing for his time on the pitch.

Trey Nyoni - 5/10 - An invisible appearance for the youngster. Better days ahead for him.

Milos Kerkez - 5/10 - Also brought nothing to the table after coming on.

Joe Gomez - N/A - Nothing to see here.
