As Liverpool roars into another marquee fixture at the weekend against Manchester City, they will do so with the backdrop of yet more injuries to deal with.

Conor Bradley and Ibrahima Konate, both star performers in the Champions League win over Real Madrid midweek, will not be in action on Sunday against the Citizens.

Instead, Arne Slot will need to do a little bit of tinkering to see if he can once again maintain the high-level momentum and results we have come to expect in his first few months on the Anfield touchline.

Let's take a look to see how Liverpool could lineup for this significant Premier League fixture that could potentially put the final nail in City's title challenge this season.

Goalkeeper: Caoimhin Kelleher

Defenders: Trent Alexander-Arnold, Joe Gomez, Virgil van Dijk, Andy Robertson

Midfielders: Alexis Mac Allister, Ryan Gravenberch, Dominik Szoboszlai

Forwards: Mohamed Salah, Darwin Nunez, Cody Gakpo

Probable Subs: Luis Diaz, Curtis Jones, Wataru Endo, Harvey Elliott

Kelleher is a no-brainer in the net as he stonewalled a Kylian Mbappe penalty during Wednesday's big victory as he keeps roaring right along in Alisson's absence.

Alexander-Arnold makes his full return from injury and it comes at a great time with Bradley seemingly injuring his hamstring following his outstanding night.

With Ibou ruled out, I think Slot opts for the experience of Gomez over the youngster Jarell Quansah who he has seemingly frozen out of his team for the moment.

As for the midfield, as we have come to expect, when fit, Macca and Gravenberch are locks as they have both been incredible this season. Both of them will be essential to Liverpool securing the maximum three points.

Curtis Jones is a definite contender to start as well, however I believe Szoboszlai was withheld to a brief cameo in the win over Real Madrid so he can be fully charged up for the Man City match.

He brings a level of dynamism to the pitch that Jones can't quite get to at this juncture. Both are strong options as the third midfielder.

Salah is an obvious start as he has scorched City in his career and he is still at his domineering best this season. Darin Nunez might not have scored midweek, but he did everything else nearly perfect. His work-rate and physical traits make him a prime candidate for a match like this.

Luis Diaz struggled to make a huge impact agaisnt Real and looks like he could use a rest. Gakpo came on and scored a well-taken header and he could be nice option out left on Sunday.
