The Reds are officially back in the iconic three stripes of Adidas, as Liverpool’s new partnership with the sportswear giants took effect on August 1, marking the end of a five-year run with previous kit sponsor Nike.
And it looks like the collaboration between the German apparel company and Liverpool is built for the long haul.
Big-time Money
Both parties have agreed to a ten-year deal that will run through 2035, signaling a renewed commitment to one of football’s most historic brand-club relationships.
The new shirt still features the familiar Standard Chartered logo across the chest, as Liverpool’s longstanding partnership with the bank runs through the end of the 2026–27 season—marking 15 years of continued collaboration and providing a welcomed familiarity to the new look.
In addition to the traditional home red and away white kits, the alternate third kit has also garnered praise.
Its fresh green design offers a striking new look while evoking memories of iconic moments in a similarly styled Nike kit—most notably Mo Salah’s emotional celebration after scoring his first goal at Old Trafford vs. United in 2021.
Adidas a Popular choice
Kopites around the globe were clearly eager to welcome Adidas back into the fold.
Demand for the new kits was so high that the club’s e-commerce site briefly crashed due to the overwhelming online traffic, as fans rushed to get their hands on the fresh designs.
Across Liverpool’s social media platforms, promotional images showcased players modeling the 2025–26 home and away shirts.

One particularly memorable shot—featuring Mo Salah and new signing Florian Wirtz side by side in long-sleeved versions—stirred nostalgia among supporters, evoking memories of Fernando Torres and Luis Suárez bagging goals in Adidas kits during a previous era.
The club leaned into this sense of tradition with a launch video posted to its official YouTube channel, featuring legends Ian Rush and Jamie Carragher.
Their presence served as a nod to the long-standing bond between Adidas and Liverpool, adding a layer of legacy to the modern reveal.
Adidas brings more than nostalgia
While the return to Adidas is rich in sentimental value, the standout feature of the new kits is arguably the gleaming golden Premier League logo on the sleeves—commemorating Liverpool’s 2024–25 title-winning campaign.
Beyond aesthetics and heritage, the Adidas deal also represents a significant financial boost for the club.

Unlike the Nike agreement—which included a flat fee of £30 million per season plus 20% in royalties on net sales—Adidas is set to pay double at over £60 million annually, with an even more favorable royalty structure.
Whether it's been player acquisitions, strategic departures, or a lucrative kit deal, Michael Edwards and Richard Hughes have overseen a summer of sharp, forward-thinking moves.
As the new season approaches, Liverpool’s fresh look and ambitious direction have only added to the growing excitement around their title defense.
The men’s team will unveil the new home kit during the pre-season double-header at Anfield against Athletic Club on Monday, followed by their debut of the new away kit in the FA Community Shield clash against Crystal Palace on August 10.
