Then, on Wednesday night, the Reds made the perfect start to their Champions League campaign. Despite going behind early, gorgeous strikes from Dominik Szoboszlai and then Alexis Mac Allister secured a 2-1 victory over Atlético Madrid. Back at Anfield again, Liverpool are fully expected to pick up three Premier League points on Saturday afternoon.
Fulham (Away team): Fulham meantime arrive on Merseyside pointless, widely expected to still be so when they head back to West London. Last weekend, in a clash between two sides on zero points, despite leading twice through Josh King and then César Palacios, the Cottagers were beaten 3-2 by Crystal Palace. That is the Whites' second 3-2 defeat at Craven Cottage, also beaten by rivals Chelsea, as well as losing at the Stadium of Light in between, continuing to defend chaotically.
Fans, and purportedly players, are starting to turn against rookie manager Álvaro Arbeloa, even at this early stage. Fulham host Manchester United next Sunday, before facing the three newly-promoted clubs in a row after the international break. Thus, if things have not improved by then, Arbeloa could be out of work. With all that in mind, Liverpool should swat the Cottagers aside.

Thus, as was the case against Atlético Madrid, it could be Bradley Barcola on the right with Rio Ngumoha on the left; the teenager scored his first goal at Anfield when Fulham visited in April.
Elsehwere, Ronald Araújo has quickly usurped Jeremie Frimpong as the first-choice right-back, while Alexis Mac Allister is once again likely to get the nod over Ryan Gravenberch at the base of midfield. Lastly, Alexander Isak has not scored across any of his last five meetings with Fulham, so can he end this sequence?
