Liverpool are back in action on Tuesday night, turning their attention to the Carabao Cup third round. The Reds are in a difficult spot currently, struggling to drum up form under new boss Andoni Iraola, and those struggles continued on Saturday, when they failed to score and drew with Fulham at home.
Iraola proved he can turn around a poor start at Bournemouth, and there will be no panic yet, but the Spaniard will be well aware that his side need to improve, and despite keeping a clean sheet against Fulham, they looked particularly open defensively.
Tottenham arrive at Anfield in poor form themselves, yet to win in the Premier League and having drawn their last two games 0-0, including the weekend's draw with Everton that led to boos from home fans.
Ahead of Tuesday night's Carabao Cup tie, we have rounded up the latest injury news surrounding both sides.
Xavi Simons - Out
Simons is recovering from a ruptured ACL and will not be available until at least February.
Wilson Odobert- Out
It is the same story for Odobert, but the winger will return this year if all goes well, likely in early December.
Mykhailo Mudryk - Out
Mudryk is not going to be out until early November after picking up an injury almost immediately after arriving. De Zerbi explained last week: "It was a stupid injury to Mudryk, and we hope he comes back as soon as possible. Playing without tackle, without different movement, he felt pain in the ankle, and then after two days, he made the medical check. We already knew it could be difficult to come back [immediately] as a normal player."
Destiny Udogie - Doubt
Udogie picked up a small muscular injury in the lead up to the weekend's game and will remain a doubt here.
Pedro Porro - Doubt
The same applies for Pedro Porro.
Dejan Kulusevski - Out
Kulusevski has been out for well over a year and does not particularly close to returning. De Zerbi said last week: "Kulusevski is not working with us in the last week. No big problem. The normal problem when one player is out of long time!"
Conor Bradley - Out
Bradley is recovering from his long-term knee injury, and he won't be back until late November.
Hugo Ekitike - Out
Ekitike will be back around the same time after his calf issue.
Giovanni Leoni - Out
Leoni is recovering from a long-term knee injury but should be back in early November. Iraola said recently: "I think the plan is also to start training during the [international] break, with the group."
Federico Chiesa - Out
Chiesa is the next one to return from Liverpool's longer term injury list, expected to return after the international break from his back injury.
Joe Gomez - Fit
Iraola said in his pre-match press conference: “He is training with the team. I think he’s going to be available for tomorrow and now it’s a matter of deciding how much he can play and what is the best thing to do.”
