Takeaway #2: Liverpool dominate possession and passing stats vs Real Betis

To no one's surprise, Liverpool will have the ball a lot under Arne Slot. It's how they operated under Klopp and how they will continue to play. While Real Betis did not have their full-strength squad, their starting XI was a lot closer to what theirs will look like come the start of the season than Liverpool's.

According to FotMob, Liverpool had 63% possession in the match. Their control of the ball is shown even better through their passing states, where they nearly doubled up Real Betis in passes (608 to 335) while owning a higher pass success rate in the process.

Real Betis had just one big chance recorded in the match, to Liverpool's three, which, of course, includes Dominik Szoboszlai's goal.
