Liverpool are going to have yet another crucial summer on their hands in a few months. With Jurgen Klopp stepping down, there is going to be a new man prowling the touchline for the first time at Anfield in almost a decade.

Whoever that lucky person is, they are going to undoubtedly bring in a few fresh faces to help offset a potential summer of change within the squad.

While the youngsters have stepped up admirably this term, the Reds will still want some high-end talent injected into the side if at all possible. Let's take a look at who those players could be.

Florian Wirtz - AM - Bayer Leverkusen

While current Leverkusen boss Xabi Alonso is the betting favorite to take over from Klopp, there is no guarantee as he will have other offers, including to stay where he is. However, if Alonso comes or not, Liverpool should make signing Wirtz a priority.

He has been the man pulling the strings for the high-flying Leverkusen side this season, and at just 20 years old, his ceiling is incredibly high.

The German would fit in beautifully at Anfield, as he has the ability to play a central attacking midfielder role or even a bit wide as needed. His fluidity between positions would make him a most useful asset. He is a dynamic talent that should be pursued.

Antonio Silva - CB - Benfica

Liverpool have not invested heavily in the defense for awhile now. They need to bring in some reinforcements in that department.

Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate have been a very strong pairing this season, but with Joel Matip likely done at Anfield, there is going to be a spot alongside the rising Jarrell Quansah to be had. Joe Gomez is more of a utility piece in the defense.

Silva is yet another young talent at 20, and he would bring a wealth of experience already at his tender age having played for one of the best sides in Portugal. Valued at around €45 million, his price tag would not be a crippling obstacle for Liverpool. He's big and yet smooth on the pitch and could be an investment for both the short-term and long-term.

Johan Bakayoko - RW - PSV

The electrifying Belgian winger makes it 3-3 so far on 20-year old's in this exercise, sensing a theme yet are ya?

Bakayoko has taken his game to yet another level this season in the Dutch Eredivisie as he has recorded 8 goals and 13 assists across all competitions. With Mohamed Salah to be heavily pursued again this summer, there is no clear replacement in the pipeline if he does go.

Even if Salah stays, at 32, it would be smart for the Reds to get the next option for the right-wing that could learn from him and be alright not jumping into the full XI on Day 1.

Bakayoko brings a mesmerizing on-ball skillset that could thrive in England and he would be a lively weapon for the long haul.

Karim Adeyemi - LW/ST - Borussia Dortmund

The 22-year old Adeyemi has not had the best of seasons in Germany this year. However, he still possesses devastating pace and can play across the front line in a variety of roles.

This positional versatility is something that Liverpool has always been drawn towards, and whoever the new boss is, could use a young player that could be plugged in anywhere. He could be a younger Diogo Jota as the continued evolution of the Reds continues.

His value might actually be lower than it would normally be coming off a down season, which means he could be a bargain signing which is something FSG always jump at.
