2. Luis Alberto - 2013 to 2016

Luis Alberto is the one of only two players on this list that actually played matches for Liverpool. The Spanish midfielder is originally from Sevilla's academy but it was a loan spell during the 2012-13 season with Barcelona B that put him on the radar of club's abroad. After this loan, Luis Alberto moved to Liverpool from Sevilla.

For 2013-14 season, Luis Alberto went on to feature 12 times for the senior team, mainly sitting on the bench but also being completely out of the squad for long periods of time as well. He recorded an assist on a goal from Luis Suarez in a 5-0 thumping on Tottenham Hotspur in December 2013.

The following summer, Luis Alberto was sent on loan to Malaga CF in La Liga. That loan was followed up with yet another loan in Spain, this time with Deportivo de La Coruna where he impressively had 13 goal contributions with the former Copa del Rey winners. Luis Alberto's notable season with Deportivo landed him a permanent move to Lazio in Serie A, where he still resides today. To date, he has just one lone appearance with his native Spain, in a friendly against Costa Rica.
