4. Taiwo Awoniyi - 2015 to 2021
Perhaps one of the more well-known former Reds on this list, given that he has returned to England, Taiwo Awoniyi was under contract at Liverpool for six years. Initially impressing at youth tournaments in England, Awoniyi eventually signed with Liverpool but joined 2. Bundesliga FSV Frankfurt on loan. He initially could not play for Liverpool as he couldn't secure a UK work permit.

The Nigerian striker subsequently had a horde of loans, playing in Belgium, the Netherlands, and then again Germany. His final loan spell with Liverpool was at Union Berlin in the Bundesliga. In the summer of 2021, Awoniyi officially left the club and signed permanently in Berlin. Since his move back to England in the summer of 2022, Taiwo has netted 17 goals for Nottingham Forest.
