3. Mohamed Salah - RW
Salah did not end his season on the highest note, but he was still named Liverpool's Player of the Season. Yet another accolade to throw on his budding resume.
So why isn't he No. 1? Well, while he is still the most valuable attacking threat that Liverpool has, the options around him are younger and very talented in their own right. In a perfect world, as others have suggested, he would be relied on less for goals and more for his creativity going forward.
Entering the final year of his Reds contract also means his future beyond 2024-25 is a mystery. Heck, it still might be one now despite all indications are he is sticking it out this year.
Under the incoming Arne Slot, he could be revitalized and be ready to get back to his lofty standards one last time. If he does that, there could be multiple trophies on the horizon for Liverpool.
He led the team in goals and assists in all competitions this year despite finishing on a downward trend.
With a summer to recharge and refocus, he could be ready to reaffirm his status among the world's very best players. He could rise to the top of these rankings if he does that.
