Four players at Euro 2024 Liverpool should be targeting in the transfer market

With a new head coach on the way, it's time for the club to bring in some new players, and where better to start our search than a clash between Europe's best?

Nico Williams | Spain | Athletic Bilbao | Transfermarkt value: €60 million

It would be hard to call the wing a position of need for Liverpool, but things can change in an instant. Mo Salah is 32 years old, Luis Díaz is rumored to leave the club every few minutes, and Diogo Jota is not only always hurt, but probably at his best when playing striker.

Even with everyone theoretically in their prime and in the squad, injuries and the need for rotation mean that it's hard to have too many good wingers, especially when the position is so important to the club's approach.

Williams, at the age of 21, would be a great add not just for immediate depth, but as a foundational piece of Liverpool's project going forward.

The pacey winger has absolutely dazzled for Spain throughout this tournament, and is widely expected to get that long-rumored big-club opportunity this summer; with a great history of Spanish stars coming to Anfield, why shouldn't that be with Liverpool?
