Four players at Euro 2024 Liverpool should be targeting in the transfer market

With a new head coach on the way, it's time for the club to bring in some new players, and where better to start our search than a clash between Europe's best?

Georges Mikautadze | Georgia | FC Metz | Transfermarkt value: €15 million

Mikautadze may be out of the tournament now, but with three goals in the group stage, his impact for Georgia- yes, the Nation, not the SEC program- will not soon be forgotten.

His breakout performance might seem a bit out-of-nowhere, but that's not actually the case- he's already developed a solid track record, and at the age of 23, has some room to keep developing and have a solid, prolonged prime.

As per fbref.com, he consistently outperforms xG, the clinical finishing Liverpool so desperately needs up top.

The player comparisons provided by the site are also promising, and interesting to say the least.

Overall, this is a player who, at the age of 21, put up 23 goals and eight assists in France's second division, and then after achieving promotion for last season, scored another 13 league goals in just 20 outings.

With Metz headed back down to Ligue 2, and a breakout Euro performance in his back pocket, it might be time for both Mikautadze and his club to capitalize.

If he stays, his value might not soon be higher than it is right now, and Liverpool could be big beneficiaries, getting a polished young player for a very fair price.
