Liverpool put on a strong showing on Thursday night to dispatch Austrian side LASK and ensure they'll finish top of the group in the Europa League. I'm here to discuss the vital notes from the match.

Liverpool Secure Top of Group Status with a match to spare

This is one of the most important notes because in a month full of fixtures this now means the final Europa League clash with USG is a dead rubber. This means that Jurgen Klopp can rest key players as needed.

This is a big factor going forward as the club will need all the rest they can get as the injuries and matches pile up.

A strong Cody Gakpo showing instills confidence following Jota injury

Cody Gakpo bagged himself a brace on Thursday as his emphatic finish towards the end of proceedings was a nice bow on the affair.

Looking at the match notes, Gakpo playing well comes at an important time as Diogo Jota is going to be on the shelf.

The Portuguese star has been in fine form this campaign so it will be a relief to see his goals might not be as missed. The important thing for Gakpo here is to make sure he keeps this momentum going forward.

The Return of Conor Bradley

This is one of the notes that stood out the most to me. Bradley was coming off a Player of the Year season on loan at Bolton last term and I had high hopes for him this summer.

Unfortunately, a back injury means he has been on the shelf all season. His ability to deputize at right-back has been sorely missed.

Barring any fitness setbacks, I expect to Bradley more regularly going forward. If he plays well enough we might even see Trent Alexander-Arnold pushed further upfield from the beginning? It's something to think about.

The Reds made light work of their opposition on Thursday and there are many positives to take away from the result. However, Fulham will have the full focus of the club starting tomorrow morning. More of the same please lads.
