It's offically Aston Villa matchday as Liverpool look to put the finishing touches on their 2023-24 Premier League campaign. They are now locked into third in the table, so the final two matches will be for pride and to send Jurgen Klopp off on a high.
Before we get to kickoff later today, take a look at some of the biggest notes and news from in and around the club this weekend.
Liverpool rumored to splash £85 million on Mohammed Kudus this summer
This one is somewhat out of left-field as Kudus has not been recently linked with Liverpool but there have been no recent indications until this the club was interested.
The rumored fee is a lot for a player that wouldn't necessarily start right away in this Reds side. Granted, he has 17 goals and 7 assists for West Ham this season having played nearly 50 times, he would have a hard time displacing Alexis Mac Allister and Co.
This fee is the release clause in his contract so it will also depend on how much the new look Liverpool transfer staff values Kudus.
That kind of money doled out would mean he is coming in with the expectation to take the club to the next level.
Alisson and Luis Diaz get called up for Copa America
Our No. 1 and No. 7 have both gotten the respective calls up to their national teams for the 2024 Copa America this summer.
Alisson will be representing Brazil of course and he will be facing Diaz's Colombia in the group stage. Diaz is the talisman for his country right now so he will be expected to carry a lot of the scoring burden for his nation.
A Diaz fast break to go one-on-one with Alisson would surely make for some can't miss viewing if you are both a Liverpool fan or a football fan.
Alisson has recently been back in action following a lengthy injury absence so he will be delighted to get the call. Diaz has been present throughout this season and has been a constant threat wide left.
Conor Bradley is fit and could feature against Villa
The young Northern Irishman saw his breakout campaign stunted by an injury and the return of Trent Alexander-Arnold into the fold.
However, he has been back in training and could potentially get some extra run over the last two games as there is nothing more to play for trophy-wise. It will be interesting to see how much exploring Klopp does with his final two lineups.
Bradley has been one of the brightest stories to come out of this season so seeing him take the pitch a few more times to end on a positive note could be good for the club and most importantly himself.
