Current Liverpool player power rankings No. 16-20

  • The Liverpool squad is full of talent and ranking them was hard
  • It was an up-and-down season that saw new players step up

16. Curtis Jones - CM

At one point this past season, Jones had made himself a staple in the Liverpool Starting XI as he was playing some of the best football of his career.

However, an injury derailed his momentum and upon his return he looked a shell of the player we had become accustomed to seeing. As a result, he slipped down these rankings a bit as the Reds midfield is simply loaded.

Jones is still a fine enough player, but his role under Arne Slot is less defined. Jurgen Klopp was a big fan of Jones which allowed him to get a lot of chances.

With the Dutchman now running the show, Curtis might find his leash is not nearly as long as it was under Klopp. It will be interesting to see how he fits in the new system.

At worst, he is still a good role player that can play whenever the big guns need a breather or are in poor form.

I'll see you back here for No. 11-15!
