Similar problems exist for Man United in midfield, including a lack of pace in the pivot, especially with Casemiro. However, this area of the pitch feels as though it is the strongest for United. With Kobbie Mainoo and Bruno Fernandes, you have two talented technicians and the two players who scored against Liverpool in the last meeting at Old Trafford.

On the Liverpool side of the coin, it is vital for this game that Gravenberch has a disciplined and composed performance up against a talented operator in Fernades and a hungry young star in Mainoo.

When going forward, Liverpool will obviously be looking to be patient and precise, but as mentioned previously, may want to go out wide as quickly as possible and overload the wide areas, with the likes of Szoboszlai, Trent and Mac Allister supporting Diaz and Salah.
