Another relatively strong area of the team for Man Utd, but with Liverpool's overwhelmingly strong defence, it’s a struggle to think they can cause many problems. The issues they may cause are down the Liverpool right. Trent may be caught high up the pitch a few times in this game, and Rashford and Garnacho are two players who have lightning speed and can punish you.

Zirkzee may offer a familiar problem for van Dijk and co. The Dutch striker is often said to have a similar playstyle to Roberto Firmino's at LFC.

Making sure Trent and Robbo have cover and support will be vital to shutting down this Man Utd attack. Another piece of play they have to look out for is counterattacks from Liverpool set pieces. In both of Liverpool’s opening games, there have been instances where they have been caught short-handed at the back.

This cannot happen against United. We know their quality on the break, and it would be a huge error and a sign of naivety for Slot to have just one player sitting to defend from set pieces.

Potential Liverpool Defence: Alisson; TAA, I. Konate, V. van Dijk, A. Robertson.
