It was another assured performance from Liverpool on Sunday as the maintained their perfect start to the Premier League season under Arne Slot with a rock solid 2-0 win over a visiting Brentford.

The Anfield crowd was not their normal raucous selves, but the job was done and there was a lot of nice things on display.

Let's take a dive to see how the Liverpool players rated in the victory over the Bees.

Alisson Becker - 7/10 - The Brazilian did not have a lot of intense work to be done but he made a brilliant stop from a Nathan Collins header that could have changed the feeling of the match.

Trent Alexander-Arnold - 7/10 - It was another display of sublime passing ability from our No. 66 as he was pinging passes all over and putting others in dangerous areas. He continues to have freedom to roam and it clearly suits him.

Ibrahima Konate - 8/10 - Ibou was colossal in this one as he seemingly won every aerial battle and cleaned up a lot of worries at the back. Strong tackles and playing with confidence again.

Virgil van Dijk - 6.5/10 - Konate did a lot of the heavy lifting in this one but he was constantly in the right position as always for clearance or to break up play. His passing from deep is still wonderful to see.

Andy Robertson - 7.5/10 - Robbo was linking up wonderfully with Diaz on the left flank and on a different day he might have scored a goal. He put a few shots on target and was an overall menace up and down the left side.

Alexis Mac Allister - 6.5/10- It was a steady albeit not overly memorable day at the office for Macca. He continues to thrive in the new Arne Slot system as he dictates a lot of the pace of play. Will be interesting to see if he has more reign to get further upfield going forward.

Ryan Gravenberch - 7/10 - That is back-to-back good outings for the Dutchman as he looks a different player than what we saw most of last season. He could be on the verge of a special season.

Dominik Szoboszlai - 7.5/10 - All that was missing from his day was a goal or an assist as Liverpool's No. 8 was popping up all over the attacking 1/3 in this one. He is back in an attacking midfield role and looks to be playing with renewed vigor and enjoying his football.

Mohamed Salah - 8/10 - The more things change, the more they stay the same. Salah was a threat all day long and his link-up play with others was superb. Took his goal with such class and calm that we've come to expect from him.

Diogo Jota - 7/10 - Got the assist for the opener on a lethal counterattack and was involved a lot but could not really elevate the game after his assist. Still, linked up nicely as well and earned a third start looking ahead.

Luis Diaz - 7.5/10 - That is more like it from Lucho as his goal was taken with confidence we don't always see from him in front of goal. He put Brentford under pressure often with his dribbling and cutting inside. A sterling day for the Colombian.

Cody Gakpo - 6.5/10 - Gakpo tried to get involved the moment he came on and made some enticing runs in-behind as he loves to do. Hit the crossbar via a deflection from a long range effort.

Darwin Nunez - 6/10 - Showed some decent ability to link the attack and midfield which was nice to see. Stole a free header from Gakpo though, as his awareness still needs work.

Conor Bradley - 6.5/10 - The youngster was snapping into tackles and got involved going forward as well. A fine player that is continuing to grow and grow.

Harvey Elliott - N/A - Liverpool had things in order when he came on with less than 10 minutes to go but he still made some attacking carries but overall just saw the match out.

Wataru Endo - N/A - Came on to marshal things for stoppage time.
