Jota and Bradley close to return
In fantastic news for Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool supporters, both Diogo Jota and Conor Bradley are seemingly nearing a return from injury.
The duo could make a comeback when the Reds travel to Villa Park to take on Aston Villa in Premier League action on Monday (13 May).
Jota picked up a knock in the win at Fulham last month, with Bradley missing almost three weeks with an ankle injury.
The pair would be very welcome additions to the starting XI for what is certain to be a tricky trip to the Midlands, while Joel Matip, Thiago and Ben Doak all remain sidelined.
Doak is expected to return in pre-season, but Matip and Thiago may have played their last games for the Anfield outfit given that their contracts will expire at the end of the current campaign.
Nunez heading for Barcelona?
The summer transfer window is rapidly approaching, meaning exit rumors regarding many Liverpool stars are already well underway.
One such rumour involves striker Darwin Nunez, who has been linked with a switch to Spanish giants Barcelona.
Fueling the rumors was the player’s decision to remove all Liverpool posts from his social media, as well as a meet up with Barcelona defender and close friend, Ronald Araujo.
The pair are, however, international teammates with Uruguay, with the Anfield exit talk surely only nothing but speculation at this stage.
Figueroa signs first professional Liverpool contract
At the same time of Nunez exit speculation, the Reds have confirmed that another striker has penned his first professional contract with the club.
Teenage forward Keyrol Figueroa, son of former Wigan Athletic and Honduras star Maynor Figueroa, has now committed himself to the Merseyside outfit.
The 17-year-old is a USA youth international, and has been a regular goal scorer at various youth levels, having joined the club at Under-14 level.
Under-21s set for Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
In more exciting youth news, Liverpool Under-21s will now travel to Tottenham Hotspur in the Quarterfinals of the Premier League 2 play-offs after a stunning win against Crystal Palace.
The young Reds were 2-0 down to the Eagles, but completed a superb turnaround to secure a 3-2 victory in Kirkby, with Kaide Gordon (two) and Trey Nyoni on the scoresheet.
Barry Lewtas’s side have now been rewarded with a highly-anticipated trip to the iconic Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, in what will be a fantastic experience for the youngsters.
