'Tis the season for football, and in that spirit, here is a list of the Reds' Top 3 Boxing Day matches in the past 5 years.

2019 - Leicester City v. Liverpool (0-4)
This match saw Liverpool cling to a slim 1-0 lead until the last 20 minutes when the Reds put up 3 goals in 7 minutes. James Milner converted from the penalty spot, and just 3 minutes later, Firmino put a cool-as-you-like shot into the top right corner of the goal from the center of the 18-yard box.

Trent Alexander-Arnold added the last goal just 4 minutes later after sprinting down the right side of the pitch and directing a rocket shot into the lower left corner of the goal.

2018 - Liverpool v. Newcastle (4-0)
This match was a rout in every sense of the word. The Reds' dominant performance could have seen six or seven goals, but Liverpool fans were nonetheless treated to goals from Dejan Lovren, Salah, Shaqiri, and Fabinho. Liverpool's solid defense and Alisson's brilliant performance led to a Boxing Day clean sheet.

2022 - Aston Villa v. Liverpool (1-3)
The Reds opened the scoring after just 5 minutes with one of the prettiest team goals you'll ever see. Trent Alexander-Arnold sent a right-footed lob over the defense where Andy Robertson's right foot sent the ball across the box, and Mo Salah's left foot put it in the back of the net. Virgil Van Dijk added to Liverpool's lead from a corner, and Liverpool substitute Stefan Bajčetić sealed the victory for the Reds.

The Reds take on last place Burnley on this Boxing Day, and Liverpool fans could be forgiven for expecting a Boxing Day victory. However, Vincent Kompany's Burnley squad won't gift them an easy victory, so the Reds will have to come to Turf Moor ready to battle to earn 3 points on this Boxing Day.
