2. Iago Aspas from Celta Vigo - June 23rd 2013
One of the most prolific scorers in La Liga this century had a cup of tea in Liverpool back in 2013 when he arrived from Celta Vigo. Iago Aspas, fresh off his first season in La Liga with Celta, sealed a move to the Premier League. Aspas's 23 goals in the Segunda division for 2011-12 drastically helped Celta reach La Liga status for that following season.
Given that both Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge were at the club, Aspas's minutes were few and far between during the season under Brendan Rodgers. A loan move to Sevilla for the 14-15 season followed, with Aspas returning to his boyhood club, Celta, in 2015. He still plays there today at age 35 and has become a club legend to those in the Galicia region of Spain.
