1. Trent Alexander-Arnold - England

Out of all of the positional changes discussed in this piece, Trent's represents the most seismic shift.

He's wearing the No. 8 shirt for England and has been listed on their tournament squad sheet as a midfielder- the change has officially taken place for country, even if club has yet to catch up.

We've seen short bursts of Trent playing as a midfielder, and it's hard not to be dazzled by what we've gotten in those periods of time.

With Conor Bradley emerging this past season, there's a real possibility that this shift could carry over to the club season as there is finally a viable option to take over for Liverpool at right fullback.

However, Trent will certainly need to impress this summer to show the new gaffer just how helpful he could be as a midfielder. His creative abilities will be crucial for Gareth Southgate in Germany.
