When you project out the career of a professional footballer, they usually are considered to be in their prime roughly between the ages of 25-30, with some notable exceptions of course.

With that in mind, having a look at the current Liverpool squad, I wanted to gather together some of the best players 25-years old and under. So, players at the beginning of their peak or someone that is heading in that direction.

So you won't see names like Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Alisson Becker on this list. Here we go.

5. Harvey Elliott - 21 years old - CM

We begin the list with Liverpool's 2023/24 Young Player of the Season. Elliott had the best season of his career where he played 53 times across all competitions and contributed 15 G/A from his hybrid role.

Elliott is one of the most versatile players in the squad as he has been asked to play as a winger, an attacking mid or a true center midfielder.

He has excelled to varying degrees in all of those roles which is a testament to his all-around ability as a footballer.

He has an endless work rate and he will never stop driving the side forward at every opportunity that he gets with the ball at his feet. He also showed he is capable of scoring some absolute worldies on his day.

Still so young, Elliott is already one of the more experienced players his age in England. He is very worthy of a spot in these rankings.
