3. Mo Salah tops fitness tests yet again

It goes without saying that there is not loads of news at the moment if fitness tests are making the headlines, but here we are. Liverpool's Mo Salah was one of the players who returned later to pre-season training, given an extended break by Arne Slot. Salah returned the same day as Wataru Endo, and quickly, the Egyptian forward showed he is still in top shape despite now being 32 years old.

According to James Pearce of The Athletic, Mo Salah placed top of the six-minute pace test, which had been completed by most of the others days prior. He knocked off returner Sepp van den Berg. Salah's fitness and sharpness will be tested this season, no doubt, especially as he is set to remain at the club and play in Arne Slot's "intense" style of play.
