Good morning and happy Wednesday! We've hit the midweek mark once again which means it's time for another transfer round-up to see what threads are worth following or not.
Liverpool are being linked heavily in the midfield market early this rumor mill and there is a new hot name that they are fans of. In addition, a young defender has his price set by the Reds following a strong season.
Liverpool very impressed by Atalanta's midfielder Ederson
The Reds scouts were said to have been scouting another Atalanta midfielder, Teun Koopmeiners, when they were taken in by the Brazilian.
Ederson is the workhorse in the midfield for Gian Piero Gasperini and it is his energy that makes their system go. Liverpool are of course, still on the hunt for a long-term answer at defensive midfield, and Ederson at 24 could fit the bill.
He played 52 times this season for the Europa League Champions while scoring six goals as well.
The £38 million price tag is not something that should dissuade Liverpool at all. He's a top class player who will be playing for Brazil at the Copa America and seemingly has his best years ahead of him.

Reds give a price tag for Sepp van den Berg suitors
The 22-year old Dutchman had a widely successful loan spell this season in the German Bundesliga playing for Mainz.
He became a regular in their team and led them by a huge margin in clearances showing his no-nonsense defending carried over.
As a result, there are several clubs now interested in his services on a permanent basis and Liverpool have now given a price tag to begin talks. That number is £20 million and would be a healthy return on their investment in the defender.
There are some pockets of fans that think the Reds should just keep him and allow him to become a rotation piece under Arne Slot, But if a huge offer does come in, it will be hard to say no.
Expect Liverpool to ultimately cash in here.
Man City and Bayern join Liverpool in Dani Olmo interest
The Spanish attacking midfielder has had a fine time at RB Leipzig and now the European giants are beginning to circle for his services.
He has a release clause of £51 million that is only in place until mid-July which means these big clubs have a short window to try and sign him at a more reasonable fee than what Leipzig will surely demand.
An attacking mid might not be the highest thing on Michael Edwards' transfer list but a talent like Olmo at a manageable cost like that is hard to pass.
It could be a similar situation to Alexis Mac Allister who was signed at a bargain because of a release clause and he has gone on to prove his value well above that. It doesn't seem likely even with that idea, but you never know.
