2. The Obvious Part: Arne Slot's first Premier League match
Ushering in a new era after the exit of Jurgen Klopp, it will be imperative for Arne Slot to quickly win over supporters by picking up wins in the Premier League. The Dutch manager looks to have installed his style of football quickly on the players which should bode well for Liverpool chances to pick up a lot of points early.
Slot spoke throughout pre-season about adjustments and continuously improving on areas where he felt they still needed to look better. The fixture against Ipswich Town will be the first real test to show whether or not Slot has his side prepared for the season. The promoted sides' eagerness to compete aside, Liverpool should be walking away from Portman Road with all three points, and it will be the expectation among supporters that Arne Slot will be able to do so.
In his career, Arne Slot has never lost the opening league match, most recently drawing Fortuna Sittard 0-0 with Feyenoord at the beginning of the 23/24 season.
