3. Willing to be a head coach and leaving the transfers to Richard Hughes (and FSG)
As Rush the Kop reported, Arne Slot is expected to act solely as head coach, as mentioned in the Dutch manager's official announcement. Slot will not influence the club's transfers, which will be left to sporting director Richard Hughes and Fenway Sports Group.
Some people may see this setup and see it as bad that a coach does not influence transfers, but it can also be seen as Slot being able to focus solely on the first team. It will be imperative for Slot to adjust quickly with the squad. This is unlike when Klopp joined, and there were some expected growing pains. There will need to be results immediately, and letting Slot not have to worry about helping out with transfers will help with that process.
