3. Chance for home crowd to see Slot's "intense" philosophy

As mentioned, this is Liverpool's only home match for the entirety of pre-season. On the USA tour, we quickly saw the sort of fast-paced, possession-based style of play Liverpool will play under their boss, Arne Slot. The tactics set the Liverpool players up to play an attractive style that should excite the crowd the same way Jurgen Klopp's football did.

While just a friendly, it can be a great opportunity for Arne Slot to ensure that the football the club will play this season at Anfield will be electric. Slot has gone on record to say he still wants to see the players clean up some mistakes (source).

"“I also have high standards, and while I saw lots of things I liked from the team, I am aware too that there are many areas in which we can, and must, improve and develop. The players know that too, and I expect to see that improvement.""
