Arne Slot's first pre-season with Liverpool continues to turn heads.
A late-night showdown between rivals Liverpool and Man United concluded with Arne Slot's men walking away with a 3-0 win over the Red Devils in Columbia, South Carolina, on August 3rd. It was Liverpool's last match in the United States before returning home to England. So, what was learned from the friendly?

1. Fabio Carvalho is ready to compete under Arne Slot
Fabio Carvalho's two goals in two matches have raised eyebrows, and quickly, the 21-year-old looks as though he will be part of Arne Slot's plans after all. Carvalho, by many, was deemed a "make or break" player coming into pre-season, where if he did not look to be in the picture for the club, he would be sold permanently over another loan spell.
Carvalho's confidence looks at an all-time Liverpool high. On Saturday night, he sat down United's Casemiro before slotting the ball into the goal through a sea of red shirts. Is the Portuguese youth international making a case to be the backup left-winger behind Luis Diaz this season? It will certainly give the Reds' management a headache on what type of wide forward they'd like to sign this summer.
