Liverpool make their return to Premier League football on Saturday after last week's Merseyside Derby was postponed due to inclement weather. This week, Fulham are on the agenda as the Cottagers make the trip to Anfield.

The Reds are once again coming off a Champions League win in the midweek as they fought by a scrappy Girona side.

Alisson made his return to the lineup and made some stellar saves in route to recording a clean sheet and reminding the world of his abilities. Darwin Nunez struggled to score but did many other things well so it will be interesting to see if he starts again or not.

Let's take a look at which Liverpool players could crack the Starting XI for the meeting with Fulham on Saturday.

Goalkeeper: Alisson Becker

Defenders: Trent Alexander-Arnold, Jarell Quansah, Virgil van Dijk, Andy Robertson

Midfielders: Alexis Mac Allister, Ryan Gravenberch, Curtis Jones

Forwards: Mohamed Salah, Luis Diaz, Cody Gakpo

Probable Subs: Darwin Nunez, Joe Gomez, Dominik Szoboszlai, Harvey Elliott

I think the Brazilian retains his starting spot in goal following his strong showing in his return against Girona. Caoimhin Kelleher did so very well in his absence, but it's the unfortunate nature of the beast for a goalie.

I don't think Quansah is is a lock to start by any means, but this is more wishful thinking on my part. Gomez looked sluggish midweek, and could be due for a rest and reset. Quansah is due for a start.

Alexander-Arnold and Robbo will be automatic at the fullback spots as the should pose Fulham a significant threat all day long.

Mac Allister makes his return after missing out on the Girona win as a result of yellow card accumulation. He should be refreshed and ready to go. Gravenberch will be looking to kick on again and it's clear Arne Slot is a big Curtis Jones fan.

As we move up top, Nunez gets relegated to the bench for the makeshift trio up top with Lucho playing through the middle which we have seen more of in recent games.

Salah is the easiest as always and Gakpo gets a chance to find his scoring touch once again on the left side.

Fulham are always a tricky opponent, so whoever starts for Liverpool will need to be ready from the off to get things going in the right direction. Slot has some weapons he can utilize from the bench as well and this weekend might be a good time to do just that.
