Liverpool have perhaps their biggest test of the season left, when they face Aston Villa on Friday in their penultimate Premier League match of the season.
The Reds recently jumped the Birmingham club to sit in fourth in the table. However, both clubs appear to be in the drivers seat to securing Champions League football next season barring a catastrophe.
While Liverpool have not exactly been racing through the finish line of this season, they will still have some hope that they can end strong, and end this era, and difficult season, in some positive manner.
With that in mind, Arne Slot will want to see something different from his side following their dull outing in a draw with Chelsea at the weekend. How could he feature the Reds for this one?
Goalkeeper: Giorgi Mamardashvili
Defenders: Jeremie Frimpong, Ibrahima Konate, Virgil van Dijk, Milos Kerkez
Midfielders: Alexis Mac Allister. Ryan Gravenberch, Dominik Szoboszlai
Attacking Mid/Forwards: Rio Ngumoha, Alexander Isak, Florian Wirtz
POSSIBLE SUBS: Mohamed Salah, Curtis Jones, Cody Gakpo, Joe Gomez, Andy Robertson
Despite reports that Alisson Becker could make a return this season to feature before things wrap up, with his current standing as the center of interest from Juventus, it might be prudent if he does not play again, as sad as that would be.
Frimpong should bump back into defense following a few attempts at filling in for Salah on the right side. With Wirtz overcoming his stomach bug, and me having Isak start, the Dutchman has nowhere to go but backwards on the pitch.
Gravenberch will be flying high following his superb goal against Chelsea, but he will need to be at his very best to break up the Villa attacks that will certainly flow in front of their home fans.
Top-class performances from Mac Allister and Szoboszlai would also be welcome. The Hungarian could cement the club's Player of the Season title with a strong finish over the last two matches.
As mentioned above, Wirtz should be ready to go by Friday, having recovered from a stomach issue that kept him out of the Blues clash. He will be tasked with his typical creative duties for this one, and must bring his best form.
Gakpo goes to the bench following another middling showing, and Isak, having appeared now a few times, needs to give it a go from the start. His clinical touch would be welcome early and often.
Salah is a contender to make a return from his hamstring problem, but even if he trains prior to the match, I can't see Slot throwing him straight back into the Starting XI. Rio has done more than enough to warrant another start in a big-time game like this one as well.
