The former Ballon D’Or winner only featured in four games against Manchester’s second team, but was thoroughly emphatic in those four games.

Scoring 5 goals in those games and in one of the games scoring a hat-trick, Owen enjoyed playing against the Citizens.

Highlight Moment:

Mentioned previously, Owen managed to score a hat-trick in one of his games against City. Early in the 2002/03 season Liverpool travelled to Maine Road and in what was a balanced statistical game, the class and ability of the England star shone through as he bagged a hat-trick scoring in the 4th, 64th and 89th minutes.
