Dominik Szoboszlai has sent a clear message to Liverpool's new signings, insisting they must understand the size of the club and give everything to make supporters proud.
Liverpool have undergone a large transition this summer with several signings and costly departures, and the Hungarian believes those new arrivals must adapt quickly to the expectations that come with wearing the famous red shirt.
Speaking about the advice he would give to the club’s new signings, the new vice-captain stressed the importance of believing in Liverpool’s status and playing accordingly.
"Believe that Liverpool is one of the best clubs in the world and the best club in England. So, we have to play like that as well," Szoboszlai said, via The Reds Roundtable.
"Because this badge is very big and you have to make the supporters proud again."
The comments underline the standards that exist at Liverpool, where success is expected regardless of how experienced a player may be and how much of a transition the team may be going through.
For new signings, adapting to a different club can take time, a challenge that is particularly relevant given the youth of Liverpool's new arrivals, with the confirmed permanent signings who remain at the club this season averaging just 21.6 years old.

"We know how it feels to win the Premier League. Of course, we want to feel it again and also the same with all the other competitions."

However, Szoboszlai's message was not simply about putting pressure on the new arrivals. He also emphasised the importance of the entire squad working together.
"The only thing that they should make sure of is that they give their best, we give our best and we become a family."
