The only Liverpool player to ever score a hat-trick at Old Trafford. He’s the highest scoring opposition player in recent history at Old Trafford, scoring 10. He’s the only Liverpool player ever to score 10+ against United; he scored 16.
He averaged a goal roughly every 95-100 minutes against them. Totally absurd. Players don’t do numbers like that against less reputable teams than Manchester United, so it speaks volumes of the level of consistency and brutality he had to be at.
He was the best in a front three that terrorised the league for years and would have the final say in games against United that defined our seasons.
We’re all keeping our fingers crossed on his hamstring injury, and if the stars align and Mo features, it’ll be his last time suiting up at Old Trafford in a Liverpool shirt.
