We are now on the verge of once again seeing clubs return to action all over Europe, and in particular, the Premier League.

Come Saturday, Liverpool will square off with Nottingham Forest at Anfield as the Reds look to once again get back on the winning track following a dismal showing at the Etihad before the international break.

It's been a very eventful break for several of Arne Slot's players as we have seen some book World Cup spots, or have their dreams crushed at the last minute.

As it were, they are all returning and it will be a challenge to get right back into club mode, but Forest will demand the best of us. With that in mind, Slot must start these four players if he wants to be in the best position to secure three points.

Dominik Szoboszlai

Szoboszlai was one of the Liverpool players that had their hearts broken over the international window as Hungary, who he is the captain of, fell in stunning late fashion to an inspired Republic of Ireland, ending their World Cup hopes.

Now, we saw something similar to this a few years ago when Mohamed Salah's Egypt fell to Senegal in the final of AFCON in a heartbreaking fashion and Salah struggled down the stretch of that season.

Will Dom be clear-minded and ready to step back into the pressures of life at Liverpool? I think so.

He has a strong mentality around him, which is a huge reason he is already the captain of his country at such a young age.

His all-around game has been on full display this season as he has been one of the Reds' better players from the beginning. He will be crucial to unlocking what is sure to be a stubborn Forest side.

He has the ability to create something out of nothing, and in matches like this, that is a very valuable asset to have on the pitch for as long as possible.

Florian Wirtz

The early theme of this piece? Creativity. The German star was back to his best over the break as he was a key cog in Germany rolling and booking their spot at the World Cup next year.

While the debate has raged around Wirtz and how effective he has truly been this season, I believe he is on the verge of coming out the other side, ready to light things up for Liverpool.

If that means he has to put the No. 10 role on hold for now and be dynamic from the left-wing, so be it, as he has proven to be very dangerous from that area. If he can maintain his pressing prowess, that in of itself is a reason to start him.

Forest will want to slow the game down, and if Wirtz and Co. can put the pressure on, mistakes are sure to follow, which would hopefully lead to more than one goal.

When he does hit full flight at Anfield, it is going to be such a boon to the entire club and he has the considerable talent to drag a team for a month on his own. That could start on Saturday. Get him in there Arne, yeah?

Andy Robertson

While we all see the long-term upside of Milos Kerkez, he's just not the right fit at this exact moment in time for us. Granted, that could change in two months, but right now, Robbo is the better option.

His experience, leadership, work ethic and combative spirit make him a true asset in almost any situation. Kerkez has been a bit up and down this season, whereas Robertson has slowly gotten more and more steady as the weeks have gone on.

He should be allowed to start once again when Forest come calling as he has done nothing to lose his place in the squad in recent times.

As a whole, the Liverpool defense has left a lot to be desired, including Robbo at times, but in these tough moments, is it better to stick with the trusted option you know or the rogue wildcard?

So, for the time-being, Robertson needs to be starting and the club will have to call on every ounce of his leadership to right the ship going forward.

Hugo Ekitike

While I very much look forward to the day when Alexander Isak is undroppable up top, that day is not today. Ekitike, fresh off his first senior goal for France, should be asked to lead the line once again.

While he did score against Ukraine, he had a poor showing as a left-winger against Azerbaijan, thus reinforcing to Slot and his staff just where our No. 22 needs to be right now.

He's had a fine start to his Liverpool career, and is more than worthy of being a guaranteed starter at this current stage. Aside from one questionable outburst in the League Cup following a goal, Ekitike has kept his head down and worked hard for the team.

His movement both on and off the ball is something that could trouble the Forest defense and give guys like the aforementioned Wirtz and Szoboszlai a fine target to pick out more than once.

The Reds need consistent goals, and Hugo is one of their few consistent scorers to this point so far.
