Football Manager may be taking a year off (at least) but Liverpool look set to be an extremely fun save when the next iteration does emerge, with their big summer of transfers looking set to continue later this week.
In the meantime; we have skipped ahead from a 2024 edition to the year 2035 to see all that's happened to the Reds in the virtual world. Yes we am missing football already...
Trophies:
Premier League winners - 2024, 2026, 2028, 2030
Champions League winners - 2029
Europa League winners - 2034
FA Cup winners - 2030
League Cup winners - 2033
Liverpool won the first season of the simulation, in true Arne Slot fashion. From then on saw a run of even year title wins, with a further three in the next seven seasons.
Their best season came in 2027/28 where the Reds grabbed 93 points, losing just three games and conceded only 26 goals.
Since that title at the turn of the decade however, Liverpool have gone through five years without a top spot and with just a couple of domestic trophies added to the cabinet.

The Managers:
Jurgen Klopp - 2015-2024 (Left)
Maurizio Sarri - 2024-2028 (Retired)
Luis Enrique - 2028 - 2030 (Left)
Marcelo Gallarde - 2030-2031 (Sacked)
Arne Slot - 2031-2034 (Sacked)
Antonio Rudiger - 2034-Present
Liverpool opted for former Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri instead of the real life appointment on Arne Slot, but it did have the same effect!
The Italian had a very successful few years in charge, winning two league titles and two domestic trophies.
Luis Enrique arguably bettered Sarri after he took over, with a further league title and a few other trophies, including Liverpool's seventh Champions League title.
Slot would eventually become Liverpool's manager in 2031 and although he couldn't alter their stuttering league form, he did bring three trophies including a Europa League.
Football Manager always throws up surprise retired player appointments but we could have given you 100 guesses at the next manager and few would have plucked current Real Madrid defender Antonio Rudiger..

The Players:
Mo Salah - Stayed until 2028 before moving to Al Nassr and retiring
Alexis Mac Allister - Stayed until 2030 before moving to Al Hilal and retiring
Virgil van Dijk - Stayed until 2025 before also moving to Al Nassr and retiring
Alisson Becker - Stayed until 2031 where he retired at Anfield
Andy Robertson - Stayed until 2025 before moving to Al Nassr and retiring
Saudi Arabian influence is all over the next few years on FM and this proves it, but Liverpool did get some large fees and invested the money very well.
The big signings!
Jamal Musiala - £188m from Bayern Munich
Yeremy Pino - £45m from Newcastle
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia - £77m from Juventus
Karim Adeyemi - £79m from Dortmund
Nico Gonzalez - £50m from Porto
Liverpool look set to sign German playmaker Florian Wirtz within the next few days but FM opted for his fellow German Jamal Musiala, who spent 10 incredible years at Anfield, costing the small fortune of £188m.
While only a Football Manager sim, it was a wild parallel universe for Liverpool.
