Liverpool culminated a chaotic few days at the club with a vital and gutsy Champions League win over Inter Milan at the San Siro on Tuesday.
While it was not the prettiest performance you will ever see, it was a much needed result for the Reds that could restore at least a little belief back into the side.
While the Salah vs Slot cloud is still hanging over the club, with it still unknown if the Egyptian will be given a chance to return, a match with Brighton could offer another building block going forward.
As we look ahead to another crucial Premier League match, there are some things you should be keeping your eye on when the action kicks off on Saturday.
Can Ibou do it again?
Ibrahima Konate was one of the best players on the pitch at the San Siro as he routinely dealt with any Inter threats and consistently outmuscled their forwards when given the chance.
The Frenchman found the back of the net, only to have it overturned by a VAR ruling. However, that did not stop his impressive aerial and duel performances against the Italian giants. He very much looked like the Konate that we had come to know.
Now, the trick is building on that showing. Can he start stacking these strong performances once again?
With a depleted defensive ranks this season through injury and lack of arrivals, it is imperative for Liverpool and Arne Slot that Ibou maintains this level of play, starting with Brighton on Saturday.
If he puts in another proper shift, we very well might call his night against Inter as the moment he became who he was supposed to be again.
Salah to play, or not?
This is obviously the biggest elephant in the room when it comes to anything Liverpool these days.
Having been left back on Merseyside while the squad got a famous victory in Italy, will that be enough to assuage the frustrations of Slot and the club for their talisman airing all the dirty laundry following the Leeds draw?

That remains to be seen. However, we do know that while the Reds did get a win, it was a lucky turn of events that saw a soft handball awarded. Outside of that, it ends in a 0-0 draw and the vibe is different.
There was not a lot of creativity coming from either wing in that match, and now with Cody Gakpo also being out with injury, the space for Salah is more than calling for his return.
Can player and manager let bygones be bygones and get back to driving Liverpool back up the table?
Personally, I think he should be back in the squad, whether that is starting or not, but he needs to be an option as the Seagulls can be had, and Salah offers the kind of threat not many others can.
Will Slot stick with the full midfield?
During Tuesday's Champions League win, Slot deployed a midfield diamond of Dominik Szoboszlai, Curtis Jones, Ryan Gravenberch and Alexis Mac Allister to great success.
The quartet controlled the middle of the pitch for much of the match, and their pressing was strong and they brought several different elements to the Liverpool side.

Gravenberch looked back to his imperious best as he sat deep and cleaned up everything that came his way, while Macca and Jones were covering a lot of ground all night long with their incessant pressing of their hosts.
Szoboszlai scored the winner from the spot of course as well. I think there is a strong chance Slot runs it back with this midfield as they were too solid for long stretches to be ignored again.
Florian Wirtz will need to be started somewhere against Brighton, but if this midfield group, or a trio of them, can play at a high level once again, we could see the foundations of a dynamic group being established before our very eyes once more.
