At the time of his signature, Kennedy was the most expensive British teenager in history, bought from Millwall for £1.5million. Obviously that record has been smashed over and over again, but at the time that’s what his value was.

Kennedy made just 21 appearances at Liverpool, not exactly swathing the no. 19 shirt with quality.
