Goalkeeper – Loris Karius

Yep. Scroll down and call me a moron, whatever makes you feel better. Giving up on a 23 year-old goalkeeper after one bad performance is insane. He’s adapting, and before this match he looked better every game. Some aspects of this league, like scrappy goals and set-piece styled play, are hard to read. How is he meant to learn from his mistakes (like everybody should in life) if he’s thrown straight onto the bench?

Plus, people seem to forget just how hopeless Mignolet was for us last season. He lost us so many points, and had chance after chance to grow and step up. He’s looked better this season, but not good enough to excuse dropping Karius after one bad game. If he continues to play badly, then it might be time for him to sit out some matches.
