That’s what you get! Everton fans pipe up and blame this moment for Liverpool draw
Everton fans are piping up and blaming this Jurgen Klopp move as the reason why Liverpool only managed to draw the game.
In their post-game Reddit feed, Toffies’ fans chewed the fat about the result and the 90 minutes they had just seen.
Between the predicable ‘it was definitely a penalty’, ‘we were solid’ guff, there were one or two comments that might spark some chin scratching.
And one of them was made by A_Paranoid_Android, who said the substitution of Mohamed Salah changed the momentum of the game and was instrumental in allowing Everton back into the contest.

The Egyptian was replaced after 67 minutes by Roberto Firmino, so it was hardly a weakened option that was coming onto the pitch.
If anything, Liverpool had a bench that could improve the quality of the men on the pitch – as manager Jurgen Klopp proven by throwing on Philippe Coutinho as well.
According to the users on the social media site, pulling of Salah (who scored a beautiful goal), was the moment that made them feel the most comfortable.
Handle702 added that it was really early in the game to make a move like that, while Joncm9 expressed his relief at watching Salah’s number come up.
"I felt relieved when I saw it was Salah going off. Thought to myself we might have a chance to get out now.I was bricking it when Firmino was warming up. “Oh s*&t they’re gonna rip us apart with them two on the field” … Salah walks off … ???"
Klopp was clearly thinking about the upcoming fixtures with the team he selected for the game and the substitutes he made.
With Firmino and Coutinho on the bench, you can almost guarantee that both will start the West Brom game on Wednesday.
